AIR VICE MARSHAL IA BALOGUN

BIRTH/CAREER PROGRESSION Air Vice Marshal Ishaq Abdulrahmam Balogun was born on the 29th July 1957 in Offa, Kwara State. He attended Government College Keffi between 1972-1976 and later the Nigerian Defence Academy between 1977-1979 as member of 22nd Regular Course. He was commissioned 3rd July 1980 as a pilot officer. The officer has attended many civil and military trainings home and abroad. The courses he attended include:

PROFESSIONAL CIVIL COURSES: Obafemi Awolowo University - BSc (Hons) Electrical Electronics Engineering (1984), University of Lagos - MSc Electrical Electronics Engineering (1998) and University of Ibadan - MSc Strategic Studies (2008). PROFESSIONAL MILITARY COURSES: Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji for junior and senior command courses in 1988 and 1997 respectively, the officer has psc(+) and ndc(+), National Defence Course 2007-2008, Singapore Electrical Electronics Ltd for Tactical Communication Engineering 1989, Scientific Atlanta Georgia, USA, for Satellite Operational Engineering 2004, Galilee College, Israel for Higher Defence Studies 2006 and Global Training Consult, UK, for Policy Analysis and Implementation -2010. Air Vice Marshal Balogun has also held various appointments in the NAF; prominent amongst which are: Commanding Officer NAF Electronics Engineering School, 320 TTG Kaduna - 1990-1992, Directing Staff at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji 1997-1999, Command Electronic Engineering Officer (CEEO) Headquarters Logistic Command, Ikeja, 2003, Commander 403 Electronics Maintenance Depot, Shasha, 2004, Commander 435 Base Services Group, Ikeja, 2004-2006, Directing Staff at National Defence College (NDC) 2008, Director National and Military Strategy (NDC) 2008-2009, Director of Information and Communication Technology (NDC) 2009, Director of Policy, HQ NAF Jan 2010 Oct 2010, Director of Personnel Services (DHQ) and Presently the Air Officer Logistics The senior officer also belongs to some professional associations which include: Member Institute of Engineering Technology (IET UK), Member Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE, USA) and Member Institute of Strategic Management (ISM).
