AIR VICE MARSHAL GA ADEKUNLE
|
AVM Gbolahan Adebola Adekunle was born on 6 March 1957 in ItaEleye, Lagos in Lagos State.
He hails from ItaEleye in Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State.
He enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force on 15 June 1977. He is a Qualified Instructor Pilot.
The senior officer has attended so many courses, some of which include the Primary Flying Training School at 301 FTS Kaduna, Basic Jet Training at RAF Linton-on-ouse UK, Basic Jet Training at 303 FTS NAF Kano, DO-28-2 Conversion Course, DO-128-6 Conversion Course.

AVM Gbolahan Adebola Adekunle has held several appointments, some of which includes OC PASS, 23 TPT Wing NAF Benin; Operations Officer. 223 Wing, 81 Air Maritime Group, NAF Benin, Group Personnel Officer, 81 Air Maritime Group, NAF Benin, Fleet Safety Officer, Presidential Air Fleet Abuja; Fleet Captain, Hawker 1000/Hs 125 Fleet, Presidential Air Fleet Abuja; Fleet Operations Officer (FOO) Presidential Air Fleet Abuja; Command Operations Officer (COO), HQ Tactical Air Command Makurdi; Commander 106 HQ NAF Camp Abuja; Deputy Director Air Systems, Defence Headquarters Abuja, Principal General Staff Officer to the Chief of Defence Staff (DHQ) Abuja and presently the Air Officer Operations, in the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Abuja.
The senior officer has flown several ac, some of which include; Bulldog, Jet Provost MK3, L-29 (Delfin), Dornier 128 1&2, Dornier 128 6, Dornier 228, Hawker 1000, Hs 125 700/800, Gulfstream 4 and Gulfstream 5.
AVM Gbolahan Adebola Adekunle is a winner of several awards home and abroad. His other decorations and awards are FSS, MSS, DSS, psc, fawc. He loves listening to music and analysing international affairs. He also loves playing soccer, Table Tennis and Golf. The senior officer is happily married and blessed with 4 children.
