BIRTH/EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATION
Air Commodore John Chris Ifemeje was born on 27 January 1960 at Ugah in Aguata LGA of Anambra State. He started primary education in 1967 at Government Primary School, Afikpo and proceeded to Christ the King College (C.K.C) Onitsha in 1973 for the Secondary Education.
He gained admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1980 as a member of 28 Regular Course and was commissioned into the rank of pilot officer in 1983. |

In 1984, the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) sent him for Administration/Personnel Officers course at the Royal Air Force Officers School of Administration, Hereford, United Kingdom. He attended the Junior Staff Course in 1993 and in 1999/2000 was a member of Command and Staff College Jaji Senior Course 22. The officer did Management Training Course of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2002 and Building Competitive Advantage Course at PAN-African University Lagos in 2006. The other courses he attended include Public Sector Finance Course in London in 1993 and Leading Strategic Change Course, also in the United Kingdom in 2007. The senior officer holds Bsc Degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, passed staff college dagger (psc+) and a fellow of the National Defence College (ndc) Bangladesh, Asia. He was also awarded the Forces Service Star (FSS), Meritorious Service Star (MSS) and the Distinguished Service Star (DSS) honours.

in 1983, Promoted to Flying Officer in 1984,Promoted to Flight Lieutenant in
1988, Promoted to Squadron Leader in 1993, Promoted to Wing Commander in 1998,

OTHER INFORMATION
Air Commodore JC Ifemeje is a Christian. He enjoys reading, playing volleyball and squash racket games. The senior officer also enjoys watching movies. He is married and has 4 children.
