The Air Secretary Branch
The Air Secretary Branch is the Human Resource Management Arm of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). It is saddled with the responsibility of formulating human resource management policies, plans and programmes for sustaining a highly motivated workforce in the NAF. The Branch is made up of Directorate of Personnel Management (DPM), Directorate of Recruitment, Resettlement and Reserve (DRRR), and 104 Personnel Management Group (104 PMG) – a field unit.

Hitherto, the Air Secretary Branch operated as the Directorate of Personnel (DOP) which was then under the Personnel Branch and later the Administration Branch, after the re-designation of Personnel Branch to Administration Branch. The Branch was created due to the enormity of its responsibilities which involve giving proper direction on human resource management activities of the Nigerian Air Force. So far, 6 officers have headed the Air Secretary Branch since its establishment in 2002. The chronicle of command is as follows:
